Web designers don’t just use JQuery, they load it via jsdelivr or similar external sites. Where traffic could be intercepted (think MITM on http only connections) and exposes e.g. internal links via referrer headers.

That’s true of all libraries delivered by CDN. I guess that is a data leak of sorts although the benefits of caching should not be overlooked.
