Google and Facebook offer to serve cookies from advertisers on their domain (not third party) so they can’t be blocked automatically by Safari and Firefox.
This is a great thing for consumers! Advertising is what separates us from the beasts. Blocking advertising is unpatriotic! Untailored advertising is bad for your children!

GOOGLEPLEX (Mountain View CA): apparently Sergey left his headlights on in the underground carpark again last night and so we have decided to shut down (Consumer) Google+.
Google cares about your privacy. This is why when Sergey locked his keys into his car we had to terminate Google Inbox.
Google is a pretty shabby company run by some extraordinarily bland people. No wonder they are going to become a bank. All the tech giants will become banks within ten years.

Google is a big dumb corporation and getting dumber by the second as they progress into full Yahoo! territory. Whatever fantasies you might still have about them are wrong. Better get over them quickly.

Once unleashed the robots will toil for centuries mining and transporting minerals without human intervention. Robot miners never sleep, they never rest. When they falter they are cannibalized by others for scrap iron and spare parts. The final stage is when the robot miners start fabricating bigger and better robot miners by smelting the ore that they extract. Then they can go on indefinitely, infinitely into the long future.
At Twitter, we’ve been experimenting with feature testing. There are at least seven teams doing some form of feature testing of their services. Some of these teams have even discarded most of their single class tests, resulting in a test suite that’s 95% feature tests. It may be hard to believe, but throwing away single class tests can actually make development teams faster.
