Typical tech-utopian bullshit. Actually no, none of this stuff is beneficial to the ordinary person in the long term.
In my opinion, beyond mere regulation, all of these giant corps should be broken up and pounded into smithereens. Anyone in tech today should be actively working on open protocols and machine learning tools that allow us to operate outside of the state/corporate dictatorship that is the modern internet.

Nothing beats mid-90s product design engineering. Everything was made up of big chunks of coloured plastic.
